Historical Gardens

Historical Gardens
Posted on 03/13/2017
This year we are thrilled to partner with the White House Library to introduce our students to some famous historical gardens.

Each grade level will be representing and planting a historical garden.
- The garden at Monticello (home of President Thomas Jefferson)
- WWII era Victory garden
- The garden at Mount Vernon (home of President George Washington)
- 18th Century Quaker Garden

This unique experience would not be possible without the help of our volunteer gardener Mr. Bob Allen; our faculty sponsor, Mrs. Melissa Bishop; and Lisa Majors, the Director of the Seed Exchange program at the White House Library. We'd like to give a huge thank you to these wonderful people.
